Fixing Pixelation in Rendering

I'm working in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4; having some issues with frame pixelation and picture quality . It was shot on a Sony fs100 at 30P. I exported it at 30P (as an h264, NTSC widescreen, square pixels). Somehow it is coming out looking a lot lower quality than the raw file. The movement looks especially weird at the edges of clothing; almost like it is interlaced, even though it was shot and exported as progressive. I've tried several different exportation settings and all of them seem to have compromised quality. Also, I'm not sure if it's exporting (or uploading) as HD.

Best Export Settings Full HD for YouTube using Premiere CS4

Dear All,
Thank you beforehand for your time.
I am uploading sporting videos on YouTube particularly snooker.

The videos are captured with a high quality videocamera and then edited with Adobe Premiere CS4.
May I ask two questions:
1. Which are the best export settings for Youtube when using a Full HD source file (1920 x 1080) at 30 frames per second ?
For the export file I use the same width and height as the source file i.e. 1920x1080.
However, the original file is shot @ 30 fps but I read somewhere that I shoould use 59.94 fps for the export file and it seems to be working although it doesn't sound right, does it :-)
My current settings for my export file are:
Video Settings
Main Concept H.264 video
Width and Height : 1920x1080
FPS: 59.94 fps
Pixel Aspect Ratio:Square Pixels
Profile: Main
Level: 4.2
Bitrate Settings
Bitrate Encoding: VBR, 1 Pass (I also use 2 as it doesn't make matters worse it just takes longer to render, pls correct me if I am wrong)
Target Bitrate: 4.8
Maximum Bitrate: 8.2
KINDLY PLEASE CORRECT THE ABOVE SETTINGS AND EXPLAIN WHY IF POSSIBLE, MANY THANKS :-)
2. Is it normal that the export video plays great on my PC but when uploaded on YouTube it skips frames and seems a bit choppy?
I have watched many clips on YouTube at 720p or 1080p and the seemed v good, when I watched mine it was not playing as smoothly as it does on my pc.
Is this something I have to keep in mind so as to assist the YouTube player by chnaging my export settings.
Kindly please comment on the above and also watch my videos for your comments on how to improve the quality.

Exporting WMV - best settings ?

I have Premiere Pro CS3.

 

I prefer h264, but for some reason , that export format does not work too well in other applications.  We've had trouble with it.

 

So, I would like to try exporting WMV good quality.   What are the best settings to use?  I don't want a huge file, but want to maintain some quality.  ( The output is to be used for conversion to mobile phone format, uiploading to youtube,  putting on a picture frame medium etc etc.   )

CS4: Typed Text Effect

I was wondering if it is possible [and fairly easy] to make an effect where you have text being typed onto the screen.

I could then add a typewriter sound when each letter was typed.

But how can I make such an effect with the Typed Text, in Premiere Pro CS4 [Full version, all updates, Windows Vista, 32bit Premiere Pro]??

Is it possible to reverse a transitions actions?

Hi,

I was wondering, is there a way to reverse a trasitions actions.. example:

using the split transition it takes Image A, splits it, and then slides both sides to thier respective sides. to reveal image B

 

What I would like to do is reverse that and have Image A start out split and at each side, showing image B, then have Image A come together to hide Image B.

 

Is this possible, and how would you do it, if so?

Creating See Through Title

Hello Everyone and thanks for your help in advance.  I am very new to Premiere CS4.  I would like to create a title that overlays a part of the video.  I ahve read tutorials, but I have only found examples that have static text over a stil frame.  I would like to display text over several frames of the video.  Would someone be able to point me to a tutorial to accomplish this.  Thanks for the assistance.

Audio not showing up - Premiere Pro CS4

Hello. I've just noticed a problem where my audio doesn't show up in the audio tracks. I know it's there because I can hear it when I run playback, but I can't see it. It happens whether the audio is attached to a video or is just a plain old audio file. Here's a picture to show what I mean:

The first video has audio attached to it, and I've placed audio under the last video, but they're not showing up. I can hear them, but not see them.

 

I run Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit with four gigs of RAM, my processor is an AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-52 1.60 GHz and my graphics card is an ATI Radeon X1250.

 

Does anyone know what to do? If you need anymore information just ask.

Exporting Issues - Video TOO SMALL when exporting

You can probably tell this, but this is my first time using Premiere after using Final Cut Pro for years.  I have edited a fairly long sequence, but when I went to export, it exports all of the sequence into a small window with lots of black around it.  Also, if I set the sequence window to "fit," it looks like this.  The actual source file from which I pulled all my clips don't have any of these issues.  They fit normally and have no black area around them.  I have messed around with all the settings I can find.  I usually don't resort to posting questions on forums... please help!

Relative path's on project file

I work at school with a laptop that contains ALL of the project files. I use a portable memory device to carry the changes that occurred to my computer which has the same file structure. Basically i have the project in two places.

 

The problem comes when i try to run the project file, it keeps asking me for nealy every asset. My assets are scattered around a dozen or so folders.

 

Is there a way to force my project to use relative paths instead of absolute ones so that i dont have to re-specify my scratch disk and my project folders. Thanks in advance.

Crackling/Clicking Sound After Rendering

I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 on Mac OS X 10.5 on a Macbook.

 

I have a Canon XH A1 camera and record voice and other audio using an iPod Nano with a stereo microphone, recording highest quality WAV file.

 

Once I get the audio all lined up with the video (usually requires speeding the audio up slightly to sync) everything looks great and sounds great in the preview. No noise at all in the audio...not in the original WAV file, in Premiere Pro or in the audio from the camera.

 

After going through Adobe Media Encoder, the MOV file I create has a clicking/crackling sound (kind of like old vinyl, but louder, quiet popping) any time the audio came from the iPod.

 

Settings are: Quicktime, H.264, 1280X720, quality at 100, 24 fps, AAC Audio @ 44khz.

 

The original WAV audio file is 16 bit, 1411 kbps, 44.100 khz stereo. Also no hissing, pops or crackles in an MP3 derived from the file in soundbooth.

 

I've seen a few threads where somebody else had a similar problem, but it was never resolved.

 

Any ideas?

Project won't save

Has anyone had experience with projects not wanting to save?  I mentioned the other day that I installed Windows 7 64-bit on a second partition, so now I can dual-boot with XP 32-bit or Windows 7.  7 has been working great so far except for this one project we have (that I had been working on in XP for the past three months) will not save in Windows 7.

 

When I choose save or hit Ctrl+s, the save dialog box comes up, but the bar never fills at all and the program stops responding.  I'm not sure if this is a Windows 7 problem, or just this project acting funny for some reason.  If I have to finish this project in XP, so be it, but I have noticed improvement in rendering times, etc with Windows 7 and it actually uses our 8 gigs of RAM, so I'd like to stick with it as much as I can.  Like I said, other projects seem to be fine.

 

If anyone has any suggestions of something to try, let me know.

Project Specs:

 

CS4, 720x480, 24fps, progressive, 48k audio.  All clips are uncompressed AVIs from After Effects.  Audio is mostly mono 48k WAVs, with a few mp3s mixed in.

When I try to update I get this message:

 

"No Internet connection was found. Please check your Internet settings or firewall."

 

and porgram won't update.

 

I tried "fixes" offered on ADOBE website to no avail.

 

Anyone know how to fix this ?

Clipping the end off...Premiere Pro, CS4

I'm using CS4 and Premiere Pro.  I dropped in a clip of 120 minutes but the last 30 mins or so is no good so I used the razor to cut it out and delete it.  I see my clip is still 120 minutes and there is a lot of empty space at the end.  When I encode it, at the end, there is the empty space and a blank screen.

 

Now that I have cut off the last 30 mins, how to I shrink my clip size down to match my video length so that when I encode it, I only encode the footage I have?

MP4 Video Imports Audio Only

I recently bought a Canon EOS Rebel T6i DSLR camera, and I've been having some issues uploading video from it into Premiere. Currently I'm using Adobe Premiere CS4, but whenever I import the the MP4 video file, it only imports the audio but not the video.

 

I've looked at a variety of forums to fix this, but so far I've had no luck. I've tried changing the file extension to mov, re-downloading Quicktime, and installed other codecs, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions? Currently I'm using a PC with Windows 7.

CS4: Play button is missing?!

I have Premiere Pro CS4.  I opened it up one day, and the play button was missing.  I don't know what to do to fix this!

 

I have tried restarting my computer, opening new projects, and nothing has worked.

 

Here are my specs:

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit Home Premium

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU    Q8400  @ 2.66GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7Ghz

Memory: 6142MB RAM

Card name: ATI Radeon HD 4650

 

Everything is on my C:/ Drive.

 

UPDATE: I can use the space bar to make the video play, but for some reason it just plays the sound, and the video is frozen.  Then, when I press space bar again, to pause, it moves to that frame that I paused at.

 

I have never had an issue like this before.

shatter effect

hi everyone

is it possible to plug in shatter effect in premiere pro?

i have both  after effects cs4 and premiere pro cs4 so i tried to copy shatter from after effects and past it in c:/program files/adobe/adobe premiere pro cs4/plug-in/en_us

(like what i did with twich) but it didn't work with shatter (of curse it works with twich)

i can't realy work a lot with AE because of my RAM beside i'm working in  my AMV with  both of program (more with Pp) it's easy for this kind of thing

i mean working in Pp and then need shatter effect - import the scene in AE (realy slow even with no music) - do the effect- export it - import it in Pp - find  it didn't realy match with the music - need to change it - rapeat all over again

it 's a lot of work ( specially with a slow pc)

so if there is an easier way to do that please tell me

i realy need help.

ps: i don't have photoshop or any of other adobe product.

Importer Process Server

This is so frustrating. I have done a search for this but none of the posts were helpful as per this:

The issue is that there is not even an event log for this crash. Yes I have restarted the computer to no avail.

 

The only solution I have found to to re-install the software, but it will only work until I import files, and this will happen the next time I open the app. I can even open the original files where I imported files before, work on it, save it, export it. I can open as many previously created files that I want, as long as I do not import any files. Don't matter where I import them from, could be a DVD, my hard drive or my camera. This is incredibly frustrating.

 

Anyways, I have PPCS4 (all updates), Vista Ultimate (all updates), Asus P5K Mobo, 8Gb RAM, 5 Hard Drives, Adobe Master Collection CS4 (all updates). All my other applications work fine, have tons of free space, no crap on the system.

How can I get an activation code for Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0

I have installed the Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 on a new computer ... I already have registered the program & had to get a new computer so I am trying to activate it.  A window is popping up that I need an activation code within 30 days to continue to use the product ... when I tried to activate it is already registered but I don't know the code.  please help if you can

I have a problem: the default audio transition shortcut for Mac (Shift–Command–D) does nothing on my computer. I have Premiere Pro CS4 running on MacBook Pro.
